Dr. Carpenter is a violence, drug, bullying, and suicide prevention counselor living in the Alpharetta area. Michael has worked in public and private education statewide for the Departments of Education and Human Resources, as well as a consultant throughout the United States and internationally.

Dr. Carpenter is a National Bullying Prevention & Student Assistance Trainer, Certified QPR and CALM trainer in suicide prevention, an EMDR therapist for Pathlight Counseling and a Georgia Certified Prevention Specialist. He has written state DBHDD and Drug-Free Community grants funded through the White House and worked as a prevention/intervention specialist in Cobb, Fayette, Cherokee & Lumpkin Counties. Michael graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree from Memphis State University in Community Counseling, and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree from Georgia State University.

He is the author of Bullying Solution: Learn to Overcome from Real Case Studies, 2014; Setting the Tone: A Connected School Approach to Bully-Free Classrooms, 2012; & Waging Peace: A Prevention Handbook, 2011.
